Favorite Magazine Cover

http://www.hggirlonfire.com/2013/10/24/check-out-the-cover-for-people-magazines-catching-fire-collectors-special-issue/

This is one of my favorite magazine covers, because of the way the main subjects are captured and the excitement of this awesome movie, Catching Fire. This movie is one of the most poplar movies in the world, many people talk about how amazing and tragic this film is. Especially the main character Katniss Everdeen "the girl on fire", as an actor she does an amazing job on this film and also the other characters like Peeta Mellark and Finnick Odair.

Magazine Essential Parts

Masthead: Its mainly like the head title of the magazine, Is often bigger then another topic on the cover, used for advertising purpose.

Main Cover Line: An even larger caption then a cover line going over the main image.

Year in Review: 2013

This photo has a lot of meaning, mainly because its about the famous Nelson Mandela's 95th birthday on July 18. Even though he was in the hospital sick, people in his country still celebrated his birthday outside of the hospital Mandela was in. I also think it's pretty neat that we share the same birthday. (: This photo was also taken at a lower angel which captures a bit more of the celebration that's happening above. The photo was taken sharp and clear, with plenty of lighting.

This photo has a really interesting meaning because it capture the feeling of Oscar Pistorius and such sad emotion. The fact that he murdered his model girlfriend on valentines day thinking she was an intruder. This photo has a good focus and a sort of clear dark background which makes the subject stand out.

This photo has an interesting meaning, because of the many waterspouts and the oldest and smallest waterspout at the corner end. This photo has great focus and is clear with no distractions. This photo has just enough lighting and is nice and sharp.

Song:

My favorite song of 2013 has to be wrecking balls by Miley Cyrus. It's a very powerful song and its a good song to listen too. What attracted me more about this song is how the beginning starts off nice quiet and smooth and when it gets to the chores its a loud beat and then it gets loud and powerful. It was one of the best because it was a good song to sing along too and many people liked it.

Movie:

My favorite movie of 2013 has to be Safe Haven. I'm a big fan of romantic movies and books so this is definitely one of my favorite movies. It had a great story behind it and an amazing twist! It was the best because it was a great love story and was one of the few they put in theaters other than just scary, funny, or action.

News Story:

I think Nelson Mandela's death is one of the most important story of 2013. Many people looked up to him and was a great inspiration for many people. He was a great example.

Important Person:

Kate Middelton was one of the most important person of the year. She had just gotten married and then her and Prince William gave the announcement that she was pregnant, and that she was having a boy. Many people cared and looked for updates on her pregnancy and when she finally had the baby, the news was going on for weeks.

Biggest Event:

The factory crash in Bangladesh, was a major event. Many people working in the factory weren't able to get out of the factory because all the emergency exits where covered of materials that the factory was using. Also the building was in very bad condition and was not fully steady. Many people lost there friends and family members, mainly wife and daughters.

Holidays and Hopes for 2014:

1. Something that I will remember during my holidays is my present that my mom gave me, which was an iPhone 5s, because even though I did ask for it I strongly thought that I wasn't going to get it and that made the present much more surprising.

2. I think one of my biggest new year resolution has is to be more adventures, I want to be able to experience more things on my own as in no parents but with friends, like instead of having to go out of town with family, I would be able to go with friends instead.

3. The craziness but exciting for the summer and the start of my senior year, especially my 3rd year as a Diamond Dazzler.
